The key to export marketing success is to attract, develop and convert business leads. SUSTA offers a toolbox full of programs to do just that.

Under the Global Events program, you’ll be able to participate in trade missions, both inbound and outbound, and gain booth space at major trade shows, often at a reduced cost. All these events will provide your company with introductions to qualified buyers.

The 50% CostShare program supports your marketing plans through qualified activities that are eligible for a 50 percent cost reimbursement. The list of reimbursable activities can be found on the SUSTA website, and the 50% CostShare program puts you in charge of promoting your products to foreign buyers, distributors, and even consumers.

SUSTA also has an active trade lead system, which is explained in more detail in the September newsletter. All you have to do is have a MySUSTA account to see the trade inquiries that match your products.

I’d also like to urge you to check out the CONNEX 365 platform when you are on SUSTA’s website. Like many innovative strategies, this was spurred by the disruptions of COVID when travel and trade shows were limited. CONNEX 365 gives your company the opportunity to showcase your products to qualified foreign buyers. Those buyers are recruited by USDA’s Agricultural Trade Offices (ATOs) and SUSTA’s own in-country consultants.
